Review: Axe Cop ”Night Mission: The Moon”

Bears.
Bears.

Spoilers Below

Axe Cop and Flute Cop head downtown on a night mission to destroy a Vampire baby. However, we’re getting a new mission FROM the Vampire baby to go to the moon and stop a mother from getting destroyed by her husband. We have to head to the moon, but first Flute Cop becomes Spider-Bear Cop and helps dig Axe Cop underground where a battle ensues. We find out that the mother actually had an ulterior motive and that she never cared for her kid, rather she wanted to turn the moon people into super werewolves. The werewolves get set free from a now broken dial, so now Axe Cop has to karate kick the Vampire Dad’s heart to blow up the moon. The heroes do just that, and Spider-Bear Cop heads home to see Uni-Baby.

Our Take

By far the better of the two premiers tonight, Axe Cop season two picks up right where the show left off almost two years ago on FOX! It’s still the best-looking show of the Animation Domination lot, and is still funny as hell. Vampire babies, werewolves, Spider-Bear Cops all contribute to an episode that sends us to the moon. I would have liked to have seen some more fight-action for the return episode, but karate kicks are just as welcome.
