For a Limited Time: Play Pac-Man on Google Maps!

I was messing around in Google Maps today, looking at happy hour bar options, and I realized in the corner of the screen (next to the Google Earth/Satellite option) there was a new icon, and it looked a lot like Pac-Man.

Reason: It was!

That’s right, you now have the option to turn on Pac-Man on Google Maps, and play the game using your neighborhood streets. Above is a screenshot of the normal Maps setting (featuring the area surrounding my favorite New York bar, The Patriot Saloon) with the Pac-Man icon visible in the corner, and below is the Pac-Man setting in full effect:

It’s only available for certain neighborhoods, and apparently it’s part of some April Fool’s Day/easter egg-type thing and will only be temporary – but in the meantime, get your fill!
