Review: The 7D “The Very Important Thingy / Leaf It to Sneezy”

“The Very Important Thingy

Doc is trying to come up with an idea, but he can’t find any peace and quiet, even when he leaves the dwarves and heads into the woods but that doesn’t work so he goes to the desert. Problem is, once Doc gets to the desert, it gets SO quiet that voices go off in his head and he decides to head back and apologize. Once there, Doc realizes that he’s probably crazy.

The rest of the 6D heads to Starchy to try and find out how to be quiet. Eventually a bet is made where if the 6D stays quiet, Starchy will dump his head in pudding. The dwarves head back to see Doc and the crew heads to the palace to deliver Doc’s noisy idea.

It’s been way too long since we’ve had any new 7D, and I’m glad that it’s back. The first parter for this week’s episodes was great because the general consensus is that Doc is crazy and has voices in his head. Oh yea, and Starch had his head in pudding for a WHILE. Parts of the ending probably could have been rather cliche, but overall I’d listen to this one all day.

 Leaf It to Sneezy”

Hildy casts a spell on a pile of leaves to turn it into a monster. It captures the Queen (Yes?) and Sneezy’s the only one that can help! Unfortunately, Hildy casts a smell on him too taking away his powers. The dwarves set off to save the Queen while Doc and Sneezy head to a bowling alley that can help Sneezy get his powers back. The group shows up with mulchers to try and destroy the monster and it starts to work, but they get kicked away. Doc and Sneezy show up and he blows that leaf monster to smithereens. Next, he sneezes THROUGH Hildy’s witch’s brew and it gets all over the place.

Very, very smart and funny episode. I don’t think the target age group of this show knows the work that goes into getting rid of leaves, but this is a great way to do so. The leaf monster is the best monster I’ve seen on Disney XD this side of Gravity Falls, and I love how cool under pressure the Queen is even in dire situations. And Hildy getting slimed at the end was one of the more surprising things I’ve seen all year. Of all the characters featured on 7D, Sneezy’s the fighter? I’ll take it!
