Ratings Are In 12/9/14: Cartoons are UP on FOX!
This was the last weekend of originals on FOX for 2014 on what has been on helluva a year for this lineup. From the constant Bob’s Burgers schedule changes to American Dad and Murder Police being cancelled (the latter was supposed to kick off 2014) and no sign of new Animation Domination Hi-Def, it’s shocking to see FOX animation do so well:
Fox was also full of NFL overruns so its inflated numbers are all over the shop as well. To prove that point, 8 PM The Simpsons (2.8/8) is currently up 87% over its last original November 23. Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2.1/6) is up 50% from last week among the key demo,Family Guy (2.2/6) even with its last original of November 16, and Bob’s Burgers (1.6/4) is up 60% from last week. Like CBS, expect adjustments in the final numbers.
Who cares what the final numbers are? I’ll take these just fine and walk. Let’s hope that 2015 FOX animation can be king once again.
