Bubbleblabber vs Carl’s Stone Cold Pick of the NFL Week 15: Steelers vs Falcons

 

Wow, Carl and I weren’t even fucking close on picking the Panthers vs Saints game. This week we’ve got the Steelers vs the Falcons with the latter being in first place despite a losing record which should make Owners meetings THAT much more interesting in the offseason. Let’s get into it…watch Carl’s pick here.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers don’t have a very good Pass D, but with Julio Jones a game-time decision I have Big Ben being able to take one on the road. He’s coming off of an impressive road win against the Bengals and leads a 2nd ranked Offense that I think should shred this Atlanta D. And even if it doesn’t turn into a high-flying affair, the Steelers’ running game is very stout behind Le’Veon Bell whom has about 1300 yards rushing on the season and has less mileage than Steven Jackson from Atlanta.

Julio Jones is Questionable at the time of this writing, so I’m going to assume he DOESN’T play. If I’m wrong…oh well. In any case, if he’s hurt that certainly makes the Falcons’ Offense not as effective and with coaching questions surrounding Mike Smith, even despite the fact that the team is in first place, I have to imagine that there are far too many question marks here to see a win. Plus, Steven Jackson leaves a lot to be desired at the running back position, and you can’t rely on him late in games to help out.
