Review: The 7D “The Enchanted Shoes / Hildyrella”

Spoilers Below
The Enchanted Shoes
Grumpy’s shoes keep farting so he goes to the shoe store to get them fixed. Cobby does just that which is good because his new competition being ran by Grim and Hildy is cleaning up in the new business department in selling shoes that make you run fast. The rest of the town puts the new shoes on, but Grumpy and Cobby find out about the Glooms’ evil plot and decide to forego the new shoes. Everyone else deserts town, but our heroes stay behind to try and get Jollywood back from Grim and Hildy. To try and infiltrate the castle, Grumpy and Cobby dress up as Goblins and come baring shoes that nearly cause the guys to run RIGHT out of Jollywood. Right before Hildy leaves, she chants a spell that causes all of the shoes to stop running thereby saving Jollywood’s residents, but leaving the Glooms in charge of the castle…for now. That’s because the Goblins kick their asses leaving the castle back to its rightful dwellers. Cobby’s store is back in business!
Interesting that both plots tonight centered around shoes. In any case, we got a rather entertaining first episode, and I particularly liked anything that seemed like it should smell or did smell when it came to joke telling. Nothing beats farting shoes, and smelly feet is a handicap that all men live with that women just will never understand. The commercial breaks were ill-timed, but that’s just Disney XD for ya!
Hildyrella
Hildy heads to a pageant, but she ends up crashing her broom into a mud pile. A Fairy Godmother shows up and zaps Hildy back to her old look and even throws in a carriage with shoes. Problem is, the outfit expires at midnight.
The Queen’s roller skates are missing and she needs them back in time for a championship, so she tasks the 7D with finding them. The guys decide to tail Hildy to the pageant so as to find the skates. They decide to break-in dressed as the judges which is bad because Hildy is hell-bent on beating Snazzy. The duo end up in the top three, and the 7D find out that Hildy indeed has the shoes, but she’d never know it because they need to be tapped together to turn into skates. The dwarves’ cover is blown, and they take off with the Queen’s skates and end up in her skate competition JUST in time for her to get the win.
We really didn’t get any sort of Cinderella plot as this episode only really dealt with the hilarious Fairy Godmother. I think it would’ve blown peoples’ minds to see both of those worlds combined, but alas it wasn’t to be.
