Converse Releases New ‘Simpsons’-inspired Shoes

Shoe enthusiasts untie unite! The fall/winter 2014 Converse Simpsons line has been unveiled, and it’s a beaut. Four new designs are being released in this collection, each with the show’s logo planted firmly on the tongue.

Three of the new kicks feature old school images, one with the early ’90s Simpsons family portrait on a white hi-top, another with Homer on a grey background, and the other a black hi-top with Bart skateboarding and saying, “Yo, Dude!” (“I miss the way Bart would say something, and then say, ‘dude.’”)

For those into the low-top style, there are options in black and maroon. The former is covered with pics of Bart in various moods with various expressions, and the latter has Lisa and Maggie in his stead.

Prices run about $60 each and are available now from Journeys.com and Converse.com.

I would probably rock any style save for the last one mentioned (they’re listed as women’s) but personally, I’d still prefer the Bartman model on which we previously reported. Look for me sporting those at this year’s New York Comic-Con.
