Blu-Ray Prize Review: South Park Season 17

A home release for South Park has about as much value this year as it ever has in its existence. Why? Well, there used to be a time where all episodes of South Park were free online. As of this past summer, now you have to have a subscription to Hulu in order to get all of that South Park. So, should you even get this new Blu-Ray? Well…it depends.
Whether or not you watch South Park on Hulu or on a home release, one thing is for certain…uncensored South Park OWNS censored South Park every day of the week and twice on Sundays. The difference here is, that although you pay a subscription on Hulu, you have to deal with commercial advertising. You don’t have this problem on the Blu-Ray, and for $7 more for a home release you get social commentaries on episodes which is actually a bunch cooler than what you may think. You also get mini-commentaries from Trey Parker and Matt Stone and if there is anyone in entertainment I want mini-commentaries from, it’s Matt and Trey. These two make watching anything better, and it’s simply an experience that you don’t get on Hulu nor buy purchasing these episodes on Amazon.com. Not to mention, the first-blu-ray disc you get a bunch of deleted scenes which certainly increases the value of the home release. Some animatics and maybe some behind the scenes type features could’ve really set this release into the stratosphere to the levels of say the Robot Chicken home releases, but we still get enough to justify a purchase.
So, I bought my Blu-Ray for $25 from Best Buy, and I have to say it was well worth it. The different types of commentaries, no commercials, and deleted scenes make South Park season 17 the way better option over both Hulu and Amazon and should certainly be had for all.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
