Shorts Review: What if Michael Bay Directed ‘Up’?
As some of you may know, I don’t particularly care for Michael Bay’s films – or action films in general, really. However, Bay takes it to a different level, in the worst possible way. But as bad as he is, that’s how good this spoof was.
YouTuber MrStratman7 posted the video, showing a trailer of what the Disney/Pixar animated film Up would be like if Michael Bay had directed it.
Spoiler: there are a lot of lens flares. And explosions. So many explosions. The most dramatic-sounding dialogue and key lines were taken out of Up and edited to make it look like a fast-paced action movie. The only thing that was added was the aforementioned booms & bangs.
It’s a masterpiece. It shows exactly how Michael Bay can take a shitty movie (although Up was great) or a movie that flat-out wouldn’t make a good action film, and presents it as if it will be a quality flick. And the gullible sheep flock to the theater like it’s a slaughterhouse.
This video almost reached perfection, but I’m deducting a point for the sad little extra bit at the end. Bummer, guys.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
