Simpsons Bringing Live Show to Hollywood Bowl
In an event my girlfriend referred to as “too much for you to handle,” The Simpsons are, for the first time ever, creating a live show spectacular. On September 12th, 13th, and 14th at the Hollywood Bowl, an event aptly titled “The Simpsons Take the Bowl” will feature series veteran Hank Azaria as host along with a host of other very special guests.
The show will bring Springfield to life with classic clips, never-before-seen scenes, and live performances, stories, & anecdotes from Nancy Cartwright (Bart), Yeardley Smith (Lisa), Jon Lovitz, Beverly D’Angelo, “Weird Al” Yankovic, and Simpsons mastermind Matt Groening himself. Even more famous faces (and voices) are expected to be added as well.
The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra will help celebrate The Simpsons 25 years thus far by supplying the tunes for the shows, which begin at 8pm the first two nights, and 7:30 pm on the last.
Tickets will be available via the Hollywood Bowl’s website, but please wait until I buy mine first, because if I don’t get one I’m going to throw myself on the ground whilst kicking, screaming, and generally causing a scene in public.
Seriously, you’ve all been warned.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
