English Dub Review: Bleach Episode 349
Looks like Ichigo can now use Fullbring Powers. But how will he escape the Dollhouse?
Spoilers Below
On this episode of “Ichigo gets Overpowered…Again,” Ichigo just figured out how to unlock his Fullbring ability, thanks to Chad giving him some advice. Kugo then tells him how his combat pass recorded his fights and his powers. Ichigo is still in trial and error mode for this new powers, and he can’t throw it. He can’t hit with a guard, so he tries something else. Hope has changed Ichigo into being able to win. He uses his new ability and defeats the pig. Ichigo gets out of the dollhouse by getting sneezed on by Riruka. He then hears Rukia over the badge, saying that Ichigo would never succumb to the temptation of the enemy.
The next day, the mysterious man employs Shishigawara to attack Orihime. The man’s name is Tsukishima, and he wants her dead. Shishigawara goes for the attack, but stops in his tracks because she’s hot. Or he was mesmerized by her tits. Either way, he’s babbling, and Orihime is too stupid to realize she was going to die. He is officially useless. He tries again, and Orihime still doesn’t realize he’s trying to kill her. He’s the one who attacked Uryu, and Orihime gets serious, but still retarded. Shukuro then appears behind Orihime, and he says he attacked Uryu.
Back at Xcution HQ, the guy who was stuck inside the pig wants monetary compensation for his pain and suffering. Riruka threatens him with going back in the pig, and he backs off. She then gives the guy a phone so he can be called on whenever she needs him. He thinks he is going to stay overnight and train, but Kugo thinks it’s best to rest.
Orihime is now stuck between a rock and a hard place, so to say. Shukuro then goes to make a move, but Shishigawara tells him that he would take care of it. Shukuro tells him that he didn’t have to do anything, then asks him why he was here. Things don’t exactly look good for Shishigawara. Chad and Ichigo are walking to Chad’s place, when they find out that Orihime is in trouble. Shukuro unleashes his Fullbring, ready to attack Shishigawara, but Orihime steps between them. She wants to get revenge for Shukuro’s attack on Uryu.
This episode spun tires from the get go, only to gain traction in the last five minutes. Shukuro acts like a complete B.A.M.F., with his bookmark sword. I was very surprised, and didn’t expect him to seem like that much of a badass. However, you knew right from his introduction, Shishigawara was going to be cannon fodder for either Shukuro, Chad, or Ichigo because Orihime is the most useless character this side of Fred Jones from Scooby Doo.
I can’t believe I am saying this, but I can’t wait for the next episode, because I want to see Shukuro just start lopping heads off with that sword. This was a decent episode, because it built up Shukuro into something bigger than he was introduced as. I mean, I should have caught this when he made that Hollow a couple episodes back.
One gripe I have with this, is how many times does Ichigo have to gain the powers of his enemy? First, he gets Hollow powers. Now, he gets Fullbring powers. Thankfully, this is over soon, or he will probably end up getting the powers of God or something. Shonen characters have the knack to become a god, but Kubo takes this to an extreme with Ichigo. 15 episodes to go, by the way.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
