Shorts Review: Alfred and Poe ”Poe has a smelly bum bum”

This week’s episode of Alfred and Poe was certainly the best effort of the show’s young season, however I am beginning to think a lot of the show’s sensibilities and punch lines are more tailored to a UK audience. Not saying this is a bad thing, but a bunch of the punch lines may not hit correctly for an American audience. Terms like ”Bum Bum” isn’t really vernacular for this country, but I’m OK with that. However, why are we censoring the vulgar language? If Shut Up Cartoons is indeed trying to stick to that ‘Adult Swim’ audience, they should allow the same type of language.

That said, this week’s episode really did teach me a lot. Like that sucking crack sweat is a thing, and that you can fill balloons with farts. But, I think this show has a bunch more potential and I’m not sure if it’s more the producers or the network that is REALLY holding this one from gaining its full potential.
