Review: Robot Chicken – “Secret Of The Booze”

 

Spoilers Below! 

Alien(s)?-

A field of eggs at the bottom of a spaceship with Sigourney Weaver talking through the earpiece of a space cowboy usually means you’re watching Alien. But what happens when ALF shows up instead? Hilarity, that’s what! But his jokes start killing the crew so he’s gotta go. When he chases after her cat, Ripley hops in the big, yellow robot and shoots ALF out of the airlock.

Bert’s New Roommate-

Ernie moves out so the rest of the town will stop calling them gay. When Bert finds his new roommate off of Craigslist he gets a little more than he bargained for. The guy shows up and is a total meth head. If there were any doubt of this, one could just look at the evidence:

• He shits in the sink
• He’s a conspiracy theorist
• He collects spoons
• He cuts off his nose for a joke

Ernie comes back for a visit and discovers Bert high and afraid.

Terminator’s A Stepdad-

Terminator has been the only positive influence in John’s life. Instead of destroying himself, he’s asked to stay and help raise the boy. He agrees but just ends up being another dead-end. He rips John apart over a short story, insults him, and knocks down his bedroom wall when he’s caught smoking.

Papa Smurf-

Papa Smurf takes his turn on Undercover Boss. He finds out that the Smurf’s have been living off of catipiler milk this entire time. Also, Farmer Smurf’s hands have gotten so bad that he’s had his wrist locked in place because health care costs are so high. When he heads to the doctor’s office, the doctor leaves him in charge and dips out in a gold plated helicopter. Handy Smurf comes in missing all of his fingers and it’s up to Papa Smurf to fix it. Spoiler: He doesn’t do it. Later, he encounters Grouchy Smurf who proceeds to tell him all of the things he hates. This leads Papa Smurf to have him shovel dog shit after he is done with the show.

Sketch Of The Night!-

All of the ALF sketches were really good, but the spoof of Aliens 3 really made me laugh the hardest. On a side note, I’m really liking the quick little sketch we’ve been getting after the credits roll. Seeing Krang shake around in a massive fart was great!

Skip This Sketch-

Again, there’s not much in this episode to skip. The Muck Man sketch runs a little long and this episode really felt like it didn’t have as many sketches as previous episodes. I like a little more channel changing in my Robot Chicken episodes.
