Review: Wild Grinders – “The Luck Of The Grindish” And “Bend It Like A Grinder”

The Luck Of The Grindish-

The gang is at the skate park donning all green for St. Patrick’s Day. Goggles brought along a new mascot for this occasion: A big, green alligator named O’Chompy. Suddenly a leprechaun appears. Since the Grinders are now in control of him they have a trick contest to see who gets the leprechaun’s lucky hat and jig. Meaty wins the contest and is immediately turned green. He is also able to grant 1 wish to each of the Grinders. And the wishes start dropping like flies. Every time the word “wish” is used, someone inadvertently uses up their wishes. Rob’s sister wishes for a new phone and is granted the latest technology that’s also stocked full of celebrity phone numbers. She sends out a mass text telling the world that Meaty can grant wishes. Scores of people pour in from across the globe to try and capture Meaty. Rob tries to wish the powers off of Meaty, but to no avail. So they have to trick the leprechaun into wanting the powers back. They invent “St. Grinders Day” and draw the leprechaun out. Goggles sets up a decoy with O’Chompy inside. O’Chompy eats the leprechaun and the Grinders won’t help him until he changes Meaty back.

Bend It Like A Grinder-

The Grinders are at the airport waiting for some big English soccer player who’s name is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long and lame for me to even attempt. Turns out that this soccer guy has heard all about the Grinders. The first order of business is for the Grinders to chance this guy’s game (Thank God!). They dub him “Sir P.” They do tea and play some sports and have a generally good time. The Grinders try to get Sir P to skate but as it turns out his father dressed as an evil skateboard and scared him as a child. Sir P continues to try and conquer his fears but can’t get past them. Goggles tries to figure out a board that will help P skate. He creates a skateboard that’s made out of soccer balls and P is able to skate for the first time.
