Review: Teen Titans Go! ”Missing”
Spoilers Below
The boys notice a flier up with a reward from the Killer Moth looking for the return of his fabled pet ”Silkie”. Problem is Starfire has no interest in letting her pet go no matter how many times Raven has pleaded with her friend to just simply give up the rather gross looking pet. Later, Cy, Robin, and Beast Boy break into Starfire’s room, breaks out Silkie, and returns it to Killer Moth before he tries another failed attempt at taking over the world. The Killer Moth returns the favor to the boys by rewarding them handsomely, but the trio start to feel bad about taking their’friend’s pet. Meanwhile, Raven convinces Starfire that having Silkie back with Killer Moth makes perfect sense and she can prove it so. Raven teleports herself and Starfire to Moth’s lair where they catch him trying to bathe Silkie in a chemical that is supposed to turn Silkie into a giant gross monster. Instead, Silkie learns to talk and is actually a big adorable slug, almost like Dumbo meets Neverending Story. Starfire gets back her Silkie, and the Titans crew take off on a magical journey.
So, this will be the last episode of Teen Titans GO! we review up for the foreseeable future due to the time changes coming next week for Cartoon Network. That said, I really enjoyed covering Teen Titans Go! and I thought this episode was a fitting end to our coverage due to a number of reasons. For starters, Killer Moth looks like a GREAT villain and almost reminds me of Golan from Golan the Insatiable. The rampant cutaways featuring the Titans cast were hysterical. And to wrap it up with the Neverending Story gag was pure genius. I am convinced. Fans of the original Teen Titans, this show is your successor.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
