Curtis Armstrong talks up ”Snot” in new Reddit AMA

Curtis Armstrong recently took part in a Reddit AMA where he fielded a number of questions about his career, including his role as ”Snot” on the FOX animated series returning this Sunday Night American Dad. During his session, Curtis got into a decent amount of ”booger” talk about his time as Booger on Revenge of the Nerds which evidently was the inspiration for his name in Seth MacFarlane’s animated series:
Yes, it was Seth MacFarlane’s nerd tribute. And yes, if it’s mucus, it’s mine. Apparently.
On of the interesting developments of this season was the passing of Snot’s father. This is an interesting character arc, one that I am actually looking forward to seeing when American Dad premiers on TBS later this year. So, when someone noted to Curtis about the story change, it sounds as if he was rather enthusiastic:
As you know, American Dad can push the envelope! I love pushing the envelope! As long as I can blame it on the writers!!
But will Snot be able to cope with his father’s death?
Snots going to do fine. He’ll get over his father’s death and continue his personal growth. Maybe really get laid. That would be good.
Interesting…but are there any good behind the scenes stories of working on American Dad? You know, the same show made by THE Seth MacFarlane and has been riddled with complaints from the PTC? Well…
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
