Spoilers!

So, we got another multi-issue story this time around. We got the guys setting up for a garage sale, with everyone pitching in their old stuff. Well, except for Rigby. He doesn’t want to sell anything, because of his “in sight, in mind” problem. Benson throws Rigby out, telling him to rake the leaves. He goes hunting in the garage for the rake, when he finds a box of 90’s relics. In the box, he finds a Pringles can with runes on it. He opens it, and some trippy stuff happens. The light goes out, and he bolts. Back in the garage, a shadowy figure comes out from the box.

“D-20-isaster”

Rigby finds a magical D-20 (20 sided die) that changes into whatever he finds. It turns out that he swiped the die off of two medieval looking guys. And of course, Mordecai and Rigby abuse the crap out of the die. They get sandwiches, cars, clothes, and rock star status. Mordecai and Rigby fight again over the die, and the drop it and break it. A dragon pops out, and causes havoc all over. Skips is on the case, like always. He has enchanted dice, as well, and goes straight for the dragon. Skips throws his die at the dragon, and traps the dragon back into die form.

D-20-isaster is the reason to read this issue. It’s funny, and has the hijinx and feel of the show. However, I don’t really have much to say on the main story, because we only got the first part, and it leads to nowhere right now. That’s the problem with most of these split deals. I get that the publishers want to put more content into their books, but it leaves cuts in your bigger story in an awkward spot. This issue gets an an ominous black shadow thing creeping from the boxes, with a seemingly possessed Rigby bolting. It’s not that great of a start, and with the hit or miss history, this may end up being really bad. Prove me wrong, Kaboom. I beg  you.
