After an incredibly successful Kickstarter guaranteed a full season of Bee and Puppycat a comic book shouldn’t come as a real shock, in fact gamblers should have bet on it!

Announced on Monday, the hotly tipped  Bee and Puppycat comic book will now be a reality; Boom Studios will add the Natasha Allegri creation to their  award winning arsenal of Frederator franchises. Those of us who have missed seeing Allegri’s work in print since the Fionna and Cake mini series came to end can now get our fix of the off-beat (but incredibly cute) starting in May.

Written and drawn by Natasha, the book will receive a helping hand from Garret Jackson and  Patrick Seery as co-writer and co-colourist respectively. Ardent followers of the cartoon will recall that last year Natasha and Fred Seibert hinted heavily about the possibility of the show becoming a comic during their joint Reddit AMA and the above promo has been appearing in Boom’s other Cartoon Hangover spin-off titles in the last week , so no-one can act surprised at this announcement, only pleased.

If you can’t wait until May, check out a few unlettered pages and a couple of covers (including one by Magical Game Time‘s Zac Gorman) from the first issue below.
