Shorts Review: Foxy Apartment Gives Us Something Longer!
Rick and Morty is a comedic freight train! Laughs are plentiful, animation is fantastic and the stories are incredibly solid. It has all the makings of a true Show Of The Year candidate. Out of all the lessons I’ve learned from the show, only one is relevant for this review: There are an infinite amount of realities and an infinite amount of worlds. Each one is different from the last. In Foxy Apartment’s reality, Daria is super sassy and has an amazing rack. Just my type of reality if you ask me!
Foxy Apartment got the WebsDay treatment way back in August with a pretty respectable score of an 8. In an effort to see what the series would look like in full TV length, the creators (Tim Urlacher and Nikki E Poseidon) slammed the first 6 episodes together into one super mix. This gives the show a bit more of a Trip Tank feel than other shows like it on the web. The variety in the shorts is apparent in this mix, but surprisingly blends well into one cohesive unit. Given the choice, I’d still rather watch the shorts because my attention span isn’t the best but I appreciate mash ups like this because in the long run it does save me some time. Also, who doesn’t like the trippiness of 6 episodes all rolled into one?
The show is solid from start to finish so I see no need to change my previous ruling.
(@chefrichBB) has a pretty foxy apartment as well. It consists of me sitting behind a desk in my boxers, trolling the Internet and eating Butterfinger Cups. Foxy, ain’t it?
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
