Deadspin’s X-Rated Toon gets Regional Coverage (NSFW)

You gotta love Deadspin.com mainly because they are the best sports journalists in the world. However, recently the site has come under a bit of scrutiny in the baseball world as last week they got some dude banned from voting in the MLB Hall of Famers. This week the publication AGAIN made waves in the baseball world, but this time it doesn’t seem intentional.

The Chicago Cubs recently started promoting a new mascot and he looks like this:

Seems rather innocent, right? Welp, Gawker art director Jim Cooke helped launch a contest with Deadspin where readers come up with funny alterations and he humorously came up with this:

Now, besides the fact that this bear has me officially green with envy, the picture soon went viral when a Mid-Atlantic Comcast Sports-Net touting Jeff Cooke’s version of the Cubs bear as the official Cubs logo and you can watch footage for that right here.

Gotta love Deadspin.
