Review: Teen Titans GO! ‘No Power’
No, No Power Rangers!
Spoilers Below
Robin thinks it’s unfair that he’s the only one on the team with no powers and so he challenges the group to survive one day at doing every day tasks without using their powers with the winner becoming the new leader of the Teen Titans. That means no Beast Boy turning into animals to help get out of jams, no flying for Raven, and no blowing holes in the wall for Starfire. At the first the three can’t believe how the hell Robin does what he does without any added shit. Well, when the Hive come alive the heroes are called into action and the other heroes see what Robin’s power really is…resourcefulness. Like Batman, Robin is a master of gadgets and using his surroundings to his advantage. The rest of the crew decide to do just that, as Beast Boy uses a cat to open a jar of pickles, Raven uses a Segway to get around, and Starfire bashes in balls the old fashion way. Robin gets annoying because he feels everyone found alternate ways of doing things a little too easily. Eventually he creates a cyborg dummy equivalent of his body and holds it hostage in a really tough obstacle course so that the heroes can get through it by USING their powers therefore Robin stays the leader. As expected none of the heroes get through it, but they end up winning anyway and now everyone not named Robin is the Teen Titans leader for a day.
Nice episode, but we seem to get a few too many competitions and bets in this show. In any case, it was rather funny seeing Raven have to walk around and both Beast Boy and Cyborg pretty much starving without their powers. The fight with the Hive could’ve used a bit more spice as well, but alas a No Power Titans makes for some interesting gafs.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
