Shorts Review: Red vs Blue Season 11 Episode 15
Spoilers Below
After last week’s semi-disappointment, the new episode came back with guns blazing. Literally. And this episode had it all: humor, touchy-feeling crap, and a major plot progression.
It started out innocently enough with Lopez and Lopez Dos.0 talking about how the only positive in their lives is their ability to say whatever they want in Spanish to Sarge and the other soldiers, without them ever knowing the insults being laid upon them.
The second part found Washington in the sights of Freckles, who was prepared to terminate the “unsatisfactory” solider. Washington called for Caboose, and proceeded to apologize to him and Tucker for not being there for them after they lost their friend – also reminding them that Church, in fact, left them, and that they need to come to terms with that. Especially Caboose, who needs to give up Freckles, his armed & dangerous replacement friend. Caboose responded by returning the leadership responsibilities to Agent Washington. Simmons broke the tension by wishing the Reds were as emotional as the Blues.
Back at Red Base, Sarge introduced his new robot, C.C. Cyclops, a malfunctioning mantis the exact same size as Freckles. When C.C. mistook the Reds & Blues as enemies, she stated there were 16 targets, even though there are only 11 Red & Blue soldiers. Four white-armored UNSC agents then appeared and began firing at both teams, but were eventually destroyed by Freckles (now under Wash’s command). The fifth enemy, Locus, shot at the two teams, but was blocked by the mysterious grey & orange-armored soldier. With some heavy foreshadowing, Locus ordered the Reds & Blues to come with him, lest he take them by force later.
“Something for everyone!” I declare. There were some great jokes, my favorite being the “That’s a thing?” repeat joke. There was a genuinely heartfelt moment (you know, if you’re into that sort of thing) and some actual action! Like, people using their guns and stuff!
And of course, like all great Red vs. Blue episodes, it ended with a cliffhanger.
More please!
@Gonzo_Green is getting his flu shot, because orange juice alone doesn’t cut it, people!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
