Review: MAD “Doraline / Monster Mashville”

Doraline

Dora and Boots are going to go the store, but the audience at home chooses to send her through a small door instead which sends her into an alternate dimension.  To the delight of Dora, no one in this world is given directions or need to follow maps. She is given the option to stay in the universe forever in return for swapping her eyes for compasses. When she declines, Boots reveals himself as Swyper and attempts to take them. Dora outsmarts him by tossing him a magnet and is able to escape.

Monster Mashville

Rayna is the lead singer of a monster-based band who only sing songs about Halloween. Life is great except she is forced to merge her tour with Ghouliette Bone’s tour to regain profitability. In an effort to become relevant again, Rayna decides to take a page out of Ghouliette’s book and tries to create a monster song based around another holiday. All this leads to is each sound engineer offing themselves in hilarious ways. Rayna goes to Ghouliette’s house to apologize but Ghouliette fills her in on her songwriting secret: Use the same rhyme scheme that MAD does!
