Games Review: Teen Titans: Grab that Grub
Teen Titans: Grab that Grub is the third game for the Teen Titans Go! series. It was developed by H24 and produced by Cartoon Network.
Story:
Our story begins with Starfire asking Cyborg for a favor. She wants him to take Silkie out for a walk. As Cyborg is out for a stroll with the dog, Silkie escapes! It is now up to Cyborg to keep up and keep Silkie out of harms way.
Objective:
The objective of the game is to help Cyborg get Silkie to the end of each level safely. You’ll need to avoid obstacles and face enemies to do so. There are also secret gears to collect in each level and a time goal to try and beat. There is also the challenge of keeping a close distance to Silkie.
Controls:
Throughout the game you’ll play as Cyborg. You control him with the directional keys. Left and right to walk, up to jump and down to crouch. You can also make Cyborg dash by double tapping either the left or right key, depending on which way Cyborg is facing.
You also have control over Silkie to a certain degree. You can make him speed up by pressing the “X” key and make him slow down with the “Z” key. This will come in handy when obstacles arise.
This game is great for anybody who can easily multitask. There is always something to do on screen, whether that be collecting gears, fighting enemies, making sure Silkie is safe and making sure Cyborg is safe.
I took a lot of time with this game because I found it pretty fun. It keeps you on your toes and there is always a new challenge to anticipate. A good time killer.
Overall:
Grab that Grub is ok. It’s an interesting game but nowhere near perfect. There are a lot of levels to complete. To some this may be a good thing but I was pretty bored by the sixth. Just as Cyborg has chores to do, the game itself began to feel like a chore. Like I mentioned, it is a fun time killer. Sit back, take in the light-hearted music and enjoy it for what it is.
Play it for yourself and see what you think!
