Bubbleblabber vs Carl’s Stone Cold Pick of the NFL Week 4: Giants vs Chiefs

Carl and I yet again both call the right team last week as we both picked Detroit to win over Washington. The Redskins are on the verge of a collapse as RGIII looked like shit and worse yet that Redskins D looks even worse because Matthew Stafford had pretty much all day to throw.

This week, Carl picks the win-less Giants to win over the undefeated Chiefs whom are at home…thank Christ Carl doesn’t have a bookie. I am taking the Chiefs to handily beat the Gints so let’s do up my breakdown…

Giants: First thing’s first. As you all know I am a Cowboys fan, and I should be delighted that my team sits atop the NFC East virtually unopposed. That said, pretty much everyone in the East this year definitely makes it seem like they’d rather be doing anything else besides playing football. The Giants are no different as they got CRUSHED by Carolina last week. Eli looks helpless, the receivers can’t catch, NO running game to speak of, and I’m pretty sure I can throw on that Giants backfield. Not saying the Chiefs have a high-octane D, because they don’t. But, Eli is going to have nightmares behind the line of scrimmage dealing with that Chief D-line and I don’t think it’s going to be pretty.

Chiefs: Yea I know, the Chiefs beat my Cowboys, too…BUT that was a close game. Since then the Chiefs pretty much whipped both Philly and Washington and just about any other team they’ve played this year too. The defense is scarier than Krueger, and Alex Smith has never looked more comfortable in an offense. Jamaal Charles may rush for 120 yards and if Andy Reid doesn’t fuck up on the clock management side of things then this should be in the bag before the opening kick off.
