Review: Wander Over Yonder ‘The Egg’
Spoilers Below
In every duo, there is one that is a lover and one that is a fighter. In Wander’s case, Sylvia is his fighter. Within this episode, Sylvia is immediately mid-battle with a giant Dragon like beast with laser eyes. While Wander walks around aimlessly, he stumbles upon an egg that he believes is the beast’s tiny hell-spawned child.
The entire episode revolves around Wander and Sylvia’s epic journey up a mountain to get the egg back to its rightful place, all while believing that “a lump of love, can tame the bronco.”
When the egg is finally returned it turns out that the baby is actually a bigger creature and scares the dragon away, leaving Wander and Sylvia as the families new best friends.
Our Take
In a modernized version of some of the greatest slapstick humor cartoons I grew up watching, Wander Over Yonder is quite a riot. With a banjo wielding orange guy and a Flintstone’s “Dino type” side-kick, WOY has my vote as one of the most entertaining cartoons that an adult could stand in 2013.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
