Updates on upcoming Comedy Central shows ‘MoonBeam City’, ‘Gajillionaires’, and ‘TripTank’…guest starring Kyle Kinane
And the Kyle Kinane hat trick is fucking completed!
Alright folks, so next week we have a MAJOR story for Comedy Central going up, but in the meantime I can give you updates on a bunch of projects we’ve been posting about the last several months.
Ok, so we previously reported on both Moonbeam City and Gajillionaires with the latter initially thought to being in production due to the fact that there was a trailer ,but from what sources tell me Moonbeam’s pilot is still being worked on while Gajillionaires is still in development with neither really having a start date as of yet. However, my initial impressions from Moonbeam just from the few stills that I’ve seen is that its kind of giving me an Archer vibe, but its still early so that could change.
However, TripTank, the new sketch-animated series from the original producers of Robot Chicken (Shadow Machine) IS NOT premiering this Fall as originally thought but rather next year on Comedy Central. For those that don’t recall the sketch series is almost a Liquid Television type block where different sketches come together that could come in as all different styles produced by all different peeps. The pilot episode will feature none other than Kyle Kinane, but we are also expected to get contributions from Paul Rudd, Zach Galifianakis, Billy West, Bob Odenkirk, and a whole lot more.
No word yet on specifically when the pilot/first season is going to air, but keep it locked here because we will probably find out first.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
