SDCC 2013: American Dad’s last season on FOX is going to be legit
It was odd. Immediately after the 2005 Super Bowl a new series debuted on FOX. The show was created by a relatively unknown producer of whom just a year or so earlier was told his series Family Guy would be cancelled. However, on this fateful evening Seth would not only do the unthinkable in bringing back a series on FOX that had at one time been cancelled, he would premier a brand-new one altogether. Ten seasons later American Dad is getting ready for its last hurrah on FOX, and since then its creator and star Seth MacFarlane (Roger, Stan) has become an icon in our business. Thankfully, American Dad’s tenth season is shaping up to be entertaining and Comic Con had a lot to show off.
Alison Brie, Stanley Tucci, Olivia Wilde, Mariah Carey, Alan Thicke, Mae Whitman, and Zooey Deschanel are all slated to guest star this season on American Dad with the most latter name being rather fascinating because Zooey will be in an episode shot sort of like an indie flick. On top of that we are getting a Zelda inspired episode where Francine’s unsatisfied sexual spirit haunts the Smith household. The episode I am probably most excited about features one where Haley gets a job at a bartender. Sounds pretty safe, right? Well apparently, the voice of Hayley aka Rachael MacFarlane actually recorded this one drunk which should give all episodes of Drunk History on Comedy Central a run for its money.
There were a number of other interesting episodes and you can see the actual linked footage, but the biggest announcement is that yes the ‘Minstrel Krimpus’ episode from last season that was supposed to air but did not following the Sandy Hook shooting WILL see the light of day this season. Another HUGE announcement is that Sinbad will return to an episode of American Dad which is great because that tells me we could get a continuation of the ‘Jeff in Space’ story line.
Could the sci-fi element of American Dad continue to grow? Welp, we won’t have long to wait because American Dad returns to FOX for its last season this fall.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
