Bubbleblabber UK: Rufus Hound (@RufusHound ) to head up ‘Name That Toon’

Chortle is reporting that there is a new series in development called Name That Toon for Channel 4 where Rufus Hound (Celebrity Justice) will host. Pretty much the series is a comedy panel show pilot in which guests will control animated characters. The test episode of Name That Toon will be shot in London later this month, with guests using motion-capture technology to bring the CGI characters to life. Producers Room 414 say the animations will include animals and famous faces, such as Justin Bieber and Barack Obama.

Sounds like a legit series, right? It’s good to see SOMEONE in the UK is giving a shit about prime-time animation even if shows like The Mongrels and Full English get the shaft. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that Rufus’ real last name is Simpson.
