Oney says Leo & Satan were almost on TV!

Remember when we really wanted Leo & Satan to happen on TV after the Hellbenders series didn’t happen?? Well, evidently the Leo & Satan show we heard about a few months ago was closer than we thought as Oney recently posted a statement on his Facebook page that the shorts almost became part of an unnamed Sketch Show:

Speaking of Leo and Satan, I’ve actually been in LA finishing a deal that has been going on for months involving it. It would have been on a sketch comedy show featuring other shorts, and there would have been around 3 made for it. Unfortunately, I would never have been able to upload them AND up until now somehow no one mentioned I would be losing full rights to the entire franchise, so I’m not going to do it. 

It makes sense that that would happen and to be honest it sounds similar to the Cyanide and Happiness deal over at Comedy Central that didn’t come to fruition. I actually think this sounded like TripTank was going to be the sketch show in question but that is just a guess coming with no prior knowledge of this deal. And yes, as great as having Leo & Satan on TV would have been, you can understand the creator not wanting to give up rights.  Your thoughts??
