Axe Cop Creator might have a Cartoon Network show on the way, too

But, will it be a prime-time deal or is it going to be for kids??

Comedic geniuses united recently on the blog for Dark Horse Comics as Chris Hastings of Dr. McNinja and Ethan Nicolle of Axe Cop had a pretty entertaining conversation back and forth talking about their awesome projects and two things came up that were interesting to me. One is that whilst talking about the upcoming Axe Cop TV show creator Ethan let out a snippet that he is currently working on an option for an as yet untitled show for Cartoon Network:

I am also trying to work on the Axe Cop TV series, and I have another show that is currently optioned at Cartoon Network that they want a bunch of ideas and art for.

Interesting little tidbit right there, don’t you think? I’m wondering if Cartoon Network is looking for like an Adult Swim show, or a Cartoon Network prime-time deal akin to Regular Show?? We will have to investigate further and keep our ears to the ground Jurassic Park style. The other cool note was when Ethan asked Mr. Hastings for an update on his projects to which he threw up the whole ‘no comment’ white flag:

 The middle-grade novel I’m working on is very different than other stuff I’ve done, so we’ll see how that pans out. I can’t really say anything about it right now, so that’s pretty boring! Same deal with punk-rock cartoon. Sorry!
