The Bedfellows and Mondo Media become…bedfellows??
The Bedfellows were a long time online comic strip created by Kris Patrick and Matt Rice. Last year the strip turned into a Youtube animated series. Well a few weeks back the Official Facebook page for said The Bedfellows had made a pretty legit announcement:
We’re excited to announce that The Bedfellows has partnered with Mondo Media (http://www.mondomedia.com/ ) creators of Happy Tree Friends!
Lately, Mondo has done more partnering and recommending of Youtube channels versus last year when they pretty much premiered a new pilot episode every other week. That said, the channels have been rather impressive having partnered up with the likes of Joe Cartoon and others to put together a nice list of quality names. That said, they did pull funding from popular shows Gundarr and Baman Piderman, so it will be interesting to keep an eye on this new business strategy of Mondos. In the meantime, The Bedfellows is a pretty hysterical show and you can watch the latest episode after the jump.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
