Review: Regular Show “Quips”

Its game night at the park and the game of choice is Drawsome and slated to appear is Skips’ cuz Quips! Quips’ jokes are so bad that no one wants him around ‘cept Skips, but everyone does their best to just go along with it. Thankfully, Skips swears to talk to his cousin, but he simply doesn’t have the heart after the dude loses his job. As the game gets ready to go, the entire park staff refuses to participate except Mordecai and Rigby both of whom agree to stay as a favor to Skips. As the game progresses, Reggie and his friend are starting to grow weary of their team mate Quips and he flips out and zaps the two cousins inside of a box. As the box begins to crush the guys, Skips tells Quips about his unfunny jokes and that alone gets them out of it. Eventually, Skips gets his cousin a new job at telling jokes…this one to kids!
Quips was actually pretty funny at first, but like the park employees he kind of got old on me. That said, Drawesome was a funny scene and the conclusion of said scene with the box closing in on the cousins was icing on the cake. That said, I felt the ending was a bit cliche and it was FAR too easy for the guys to get out of Reggie’s box. Like serious, no fight?? Mordecai was extra quiet this episode, too having almost NO lines written for him. That said, it was good to get Regular Show back on its normal time as anything is better than that shit award show with Shaq and Nick Cannon.
