REVIEW: UNSUPERVISED “BLACK SQUIRRELS”
Joel helps his brother find a job after he gets out of prison.
Spoilers Below
Joel’s brother Brian is back from jail and he needs to get back on his feet. To help out, Joel gets him a job at the school where he quickly gets promoted as head of the school security after scaring off one of the student/gang members with his skills that he learned while in the big house. Brian starts off his new gig by using Joel and Gary to help go through all of the lockers and get cell phones and sharp objects to remove them from the school’s property. Unfortunately, Brian takes all of the school shit and starts to sell it out of Joel’s house. Right away Joel tells the Principal about all of the stolen goods, but she doesn’t care because the ex-con does a great job around the school. To make matters worse, the Principal even expels Joel and Gary for pretty much no good reason.
To help clean their name, Gary and Joel decide to start a riot by getting on the school intercom and telling a speech that…no one cares about. Brian shows up with the Principal but the Superintendent shows up to put a stop to shit by firing Brian on the spot.
To be honest, this episode of Unsupervised is starting to give me reason to believe that the cancellation is a good thing. For one, there was really no plot what so ever this week besides the fact that Brian was getting out of jail, but other than his zombie-like ramblings, he was really just smooshed into a pretty run-of-the-mill storyline of which leads nowhere. Meg was involved in some sort of gang-related story with Danielle, but it never really took off and it actually showed off my biggest gripe with the show which would be that when the writers want to drive a point home like in this instance gangs, they REALLY drive the point home almost to the point of annoyance. Next week is the series finale, hopefully the show goes out on a high-note.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
