REVIEW: Fish Hooks “Fish Lips, Sink Ships”
Bea tries to play matchmaker when she learns that Mr. Baldwin has a crush on Ms. Lips.
Spoilers Below
Mr. Baldwin’s acting a little weird but we find out why because Milo catches Baldwin rehearsing his lines in asking out Ms. Lips. At first Milo promises not to tell anyone but literally 10 seconds later he tells Bea and Oscar. Bea thinks its adorable so she wants to tell Lips despite the fact Milo and now Oscar do not want her to do so . But of course later at the mall Bea tells all her friends but apparently they knew already but they spread the word throughout the entire school. When Milo gets word that everyone knows, he freaks because now Lips is getting teased about it. This leads to Baldmin finding out that everyone knows but Lips doesn’t get it but they have to stop Bea who is bringing a tell-all letter to Lips’ house. All the guys lead on a chase to stop Bea but she rings the doorbell while Baldwin is holding the letter of love. However, Baldwin works up the knowledge to ask out Lips and she says yes!
Was this week’s episode of Fish Hooks a tad formulaic? Probably, but it sure was a lot of fun. Dana Snyder has always played an awesome Baldwin which is great because its such a departure from his normal work as the more maniacal Shake or the equally retarded Granny. Jennifer Coolidge is also no stranger to voice actors and her great talents were put on exhibit playing a more coy(coy is a fish, see what I did there?) role which offset perfectly with Dana’s. Fish Hooks has got the goods when it comes to recurring characters, and the fact that Milo, Oscar, and Bea are able to flow in and out of their story lines is the real strength of this show.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
