FOX AND UNIVERSAL STUDIOS ARE LITIGANTS IN SIMPSONS RIDE CASE FOR MUSICIANS

Soooo, according to The Hollywood Reporter the music being played outside the Simpsons themed roller coaster at Universal Studios in Hollywood, CA is in contention for past-due royalties to the musicians who made that music. FOX is saying that it transferred most of the rights from the ride to Universal aka the fuckers that run the park and they should be absolved of any wrong-doings. Universal says the music is for promo reasons, but  the American Federation for Musicians and ain’t buying it so they are looking to get their check. Not gonna lie, as a former copyright holder for recorded music, if I had songs being played outside of a theme park ride where I know a million people are going to be their, I would want to get paid too. The music business is a motherfucker now a days and there aren’t a lot of places to make money anymore so I can totally see the argument.
