Bart and Nelson fight over the new girl in school, but something tells us they are not being sincere. NEW GIRL IN TOWN

There’s a new girl at school named Janet and she’s pretty much the lady version of Milhouse. That said Mrs. Krabappel offers up extra credit to the dude who asks her to the upcoming social. Bart, Nelson, Milhouse, and Martin are at the front of the pack with Nelson and Bart setting center stage on who can be the coolest guy to nab Janet and as such go through a number of different motions to try and discredit the other. After a few rounds, Janet announces that she will be making her decision at the dance which happens to be…Martin! Turns out, Martin was the only one that listened to Janet where as the other guys just tried talking themselves up.

THERE’S NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOE BUSINESS

Maggie has an incredible gift where she is able to design shoes that reflect the wearer’s personality. Seeing dollar signs, Bart and Homer setup a store and begin selling the shoes like hot cakes. Problem is everyone in town keeps admiring their shoes they don’t even bother to look up and end up smashing into other people causing injury. Quimby sets up an emergency town hall meeting and suggests jail time for creator, but once he finds out its Maggie we come to learn that the little creator has moved on to another means of creation altogether…architecture!

SHORTS

Maggie’s Crib, Angry Dad

With the cover of this week’s Bart Simpson issue featuring ‘Angry Dad’ you’d think we’d get a more impressive return of the strip with a main story but instead its more of a side note. That said, this issue was a good effort on behalf of Bongo, that said there was really only one “true” Bart story and was surprised to see half the issue devoted to Maggie when in a couple weeks we get Maggie #1. With that in mind, I definitely think #75 is worth the buy.
