DAVE WILLIS TALKS UP SPACE GHOST ON REDDIT AMA

You may remember that we did a couple of interviews with Dave Willis creator of two animated series that had their season finales last night on Adult Swim, Squidbillies and Aqua Something You Know Whatever. Welp, in one of the interviews I know Dave mentioned he was working on a new live action action series and together with the new shows he just ended he talked up a shit ton on a Reddit AMA this past Thursday afternoon @ 3pm. One of the more interesting questions was when he was asked about a return of Space Ghost. The answer I thought was quite a bit surprising:

Good question. Maiellaro and I were both burned out at the end, and we were also pumped about ATHF – and everyone else was working on other things, so it died quietly in the night. But speaking for myself, every once in a while I get curious about pulling it out of mothballs. We made a push 8 years ago to get Don Rickles for the show, to no avail. Ad sales did a commercial for “The Campaign” with SG interviewing Zach Galifsgdfbaiunor and Will Farrell – and I got jealous. I wish I had done the interview, and I wish it was up to the standards of the show. Short answer: Maybe someday. If we got Bill Murray.

As I am writing this I am watching Zach Galifianakis Live at the Purple Onion which is utter brilliance and to see Zach work with Dave/Matt in any scenario would be awesome because these guys are so alternative and they would mesh well. I have also wondered if Zach will ever release an album of just his piano musings. Maybe we can get that mixed with Shake singing a tune. Gonna go ahead and start the Kick starter now.
