REVIEW: FISH HOOKS “BROTHERS’ DAY”
After seeing the Joe brothers get into a huge fight, Milo gets nervous that one day that might happen to him and Oscar, so he creates a holiday dedicated to celebrating their friendship.
Spoilers Below
Everyone knows about the Joe’s Brothers and their lack of love for each other and Milo never wants that to happen between himself and his bro Oscar, so he comes up with “Brothers Day”! Pretty much its a day where brothers hang out and do cool stuff while feelin’ the brotherly love. At first its pretty bad ass, as the guys are having a good time being bros. Unfortunately, Milo thinks that he is not showing Oscar how much he REALLY loves his brother and as such begins smotherin’ him with terrible gifts.
Oscar then goes to seek Bea’s advice(who is in detention) but with Milo eavesdropping nearby, he decides to pack up his shit and take off leaving a note behind for Oscar. Oscar, being one who usually jumps to conclusions, reads half way through the note thinking that Milo is gone for good, so he races to the bus stop to try and get him back but his little bro pulls away. Oscar gets really upset and starts bawlin’ his eyes out thinking he really did lose his brother for good, only for Milo to show up with a new toy! Turns out, had Oscar read the rest of the note he would not have been so worried, but nevertheless the brothers…are back!
This was great episode of Fish Hooks, and it was definitely a change of pace to see a story that’s quite a bit more somber than the typical FH affair mainly with the scene with Milo pulling away on the bus which for me reminded me of a scene in As Good As It Gets. It was also really great seeing an episode where Dana Snyder was prominently used as Mr. Baldwin because he really is a bad ass. I think we have to wait til August for any new Fish Hooks so enjoy this one while you got it!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
