REVIEW: REGULAR SHOW: “OUT OF COMMISSION”

The park recently got a new kart which is more sophisticated and has more features, but that also means that Mordecai and Rigby have to get rid of the cart and want to have one last day with it to say goodbye.

Spoilers Below

How do you part with an old friend?? Welp, Mordecai and Rigby are ordered by Benson to do just that as they have to get rid of their old golf cart in favor of one powered by German engineering with butt-warming seats. Mordecai and Rigby can’t afford the two grand a month to keep it running to notch so on the way to the dump the guys stop off and grab some sodas to do a proper send off. After dumping said soda into the engine, the golf cart comes to life!

Turns out, the cart doesn’t want to go out like a douche, so he instead opts to have a bunch of ‘last wishes’. At first the demands are pretty menial with trips to a concert, bungee jumping, and getting a cart tattoo. Afterwards the wishes get a bit weirder, at first its just a sunset, then it turns into a car wash,  and then they finish off with a good ol’ fashioned bar fight. Actually, no the cart wants one….final….wish…a firework infested watery grave! After the send off, the guys get a call from Bensons…turns out they need the old cart back!

This week’s episode was OK, but I thought it was less funny and more good story. Nobody wants to lose a friend automated or not! However, other than that this was pretty standard fare for an episode of Regular Show which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, just means that nothing jumps out at me as being too special.
