TURNS OUT THR AND VARIETY ARE A BUNCH OF ASSHOLES WHO CAN’T TAKE JOKES

I’ve quoted a bunch of stories from The Hollywood Reporter and rightfully so as they usually provide great stories to comment on. Turns out they have no sense of humor however as we mentioned in a story the other day about a flyer that the Family Guy producers put out in an attempt to get a few Emmy nods.

I thought it was funny as hell, well apparently a bunch of people who vote for these bull shit awards weren’t to keen to the ad and respectable magazines like The Hollywood Reporter and Variety have even rejected printing the ads, showing once again that the mainstream is filled with a bunch of douche bag pricks who can’t take a joke. According to the article:

“Wow,” responds one Brentwood TV producer, “if Family Guywas that funny on a regular basis, it might get nominated.” Another producer, who lives nearby in Pacific Palisades, has her own review. “It’s so heavy-handed,” she says, “it’s light on funny.”

Yet another adds: “While I think Family Guy is a genuinely funny show, we all — including this ‘Brentwood Jew’ — need to think twice about this kind of humor. Stereotyping any particular ethnic group is just not cool and can lead others (with the wrong intentions) to feel a certain license to take shots. Surely Seth [MacFarlane] has better stuff than this.”

I like how these are the producers we are dealing with nowadays and yet these are the same ones that would have no problem getting behind the ball for white trash like Jersey Shore and Teen Mom. Wanna know why film making is dead in Hollywood? That’s it…
