REVIEW: REGULAR SHOW “DEAD AT EIGHT”
Death will spare Muscle Man’s life if Mordecai and Rigby babysit his kid.
Spoilers Below
Mordecai and Rigby kinda force Muscle Man to slide down his unfinished but totally awesome looking water slide an for a guy writing this in 1000 degree weather, I think I’d still do it too. Of course the slide doesn’t work and Muscle Man heads into a tree which causes Death to show up in order to drag away his carcass. However, Mordecai and Rigby persuade Death not to take their friend in exchange for babysitting the dark one’s little one for one night. There’s a catch, if Mordecai and Rigby don’t do a good job, Death will own Muscle Man’s soul for ALL eternity.
Once at the house Mordecai and Rigby are introduced to little Thomas, a 300 year old demon bent on raising hell and eating a shit ton of sugar. This of course causes a problem because Rigby and Mordecai get word that if Thomas isn’t asleep by the time his parents get home they can basically kiss Muscle Man good bye! Of course the kid refuses to go the fuck to sleep unless if Mordecai and Rigby read the most evil pop up book ever written. Of course the relatively green sitters read the thing only to summon a big huge monster that almost eats them alive until Rigby actually traps the worm back into the book and yes, little Thomas goes to sleep. As promised, when Death and his wife walk through the door the first thing they do is free Muscle Man…for now!
Almond milk….ewwwww!! And I couldn’t agree more and boy did I miss me some Regular Show! This week’s episode was great giving us the classic babysitting routine albeit with a few twists. I actually really liked Thomas and I wouldn’t mind seeing him again because I thought he was really funny in an almost Stewie kind of way. Like being wise beyond his years type of deal. And just like Stewie he creates a bunch of chaos and anarchy with fantastical flair. As for Mordecai and Rigby? Something tells me they won’t be babysitting again any time soon(but here’s hoping they do!)
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
