REVIEW: NAPOLEON DYNAMITE “PEDRO VS DEB”

Deb tries to save the struggling school paper by interviewing school president Pedro, but her article lands him in hot water and threatens their friendship.

The school paper is in trouble of being cancelled, so after much begging and pleading Deb gets an extension to keep her department alive. As such, she sets off in finding the big story in town which ends up being an interview with the school president, Pedro. Its kind of a big pain in the ass though, because all she does is follow Pedro around taking down notes of what its like to be Pedro and his thoughts on life.

The next day when the paper hits newsstands everyone’s buzzing as Pedro is all over the headlines quoted as saying that Preston is the most boring town in America. This causes a verbal war between Pedro and Deb which gets Napoleon caught right in the middle having to pick sides and taking in his pal Pedro as the town turns on him. As such, both of Napoleon’s friends leave him high and dry in all the fun activities they used to do which drives him nuts to the point of tracking down the mine shaft monster to snap a pic so that a new headline will save his friendships.

I thought this episode was gonna suck because of the slow start, but I couldn’t help cracking up like crazy. For one, Kip is becoming my favorite character because he acts like such a bitch with his singing to his Grandma and then getting a “chest concussion” from playing a round of badminton. The Napoleon story was real funny, especially with the hearkening back to the movie with the dance off, and his jokes just keep hitting and hitting but as mentioned Kip is just killing me every episode(hopefully never with a gun).
