John “On The Spot”: Response to Cape May Herald “Smutty Network TV Getting Worse”

Henson said most situation comedies now are bypassing family audiences and going for adult humor including vulgar anatomic references and lot of bed hopping.

And rightfully so, and if American didn’t like it, they wouldn’t be tuning in to watch all these shows on a nightly basis. We are tired of dealing with kids shit all day, 8pm EST starts OUR time.

She said for several years the networks have been waging war against the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) in the courts stemming back to 2003-2004 when the FCC started to get active enforcing broadcast decency laws for television. The FCC issued a fine to CBS for Janet Jackson’s Super Bowl “wardrobe malfunction” and Nicole Ritchie using the “S” and “F” word during the Billboard Music Awards.

Hey Jack, I think some kids need to see MORE titties on television…jus sayin’. And I think you can go ahead and spell out Shit and Fuck, unless if you really believe your target audience is a bunch of five year olds.

On Jan. 10, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments. Henson said the networks are saying because kids can see pretty much anything on cable or the web at any time of day, they should not have any restrictions on what they are able to show. The issue is not receiving the attention of Congress, she said. Henson said she has seen surveys indicated 85-90 percent of Americans would favor stronger content control by the FCC.

Who in the name of black fuck is this Henson bitch surveying? Did you get a survey? I didn’t…fuck the FCC. The government should never have any say as to what families are allowed to watch and hear, that’s called communism JACK OFF!

Henson said the highest rated show after the Super Bowl Feb. 5 was Downton Abbey on PBS. She said the program has adult themes but nothing really explicit.

Henson theorizes the networks’ adult content is part of an agenda. She said producer Ryan Murphy (“Glee,” “Nip Tuck,” “American Horror Story”) made statements to the press indicating he wanted obliterate broadcast standards.

Fox Television has been able to combine adult themes with animation in its Sunday night schedule of cartoons. Henson said she believed the producers were able to get away with more adult content than a live action show could accomplish. She said Family Guy has joked about incest, pedophilia and bestiality.

I don’t watch any of Ryan Murphy’s TV shows, but hey now I think he should run for president! And Fox’s Sunday night schedule of cartoons ALL come with disclaimers at the start of every show, and between every commercial break, and they all have the Parental Advisory Board ratings on the upper right hand corner…so yea, eat a dick.
