FOX ANNOUNCES SPRING ’12 SCHEDULE

Hey everyone, I got analysis for FOX’s recently announced Spring schedule featuring all new episodes of Bob’s Burgers.

Sundays, beginning March 11:
7:00-7:30 PM              THE SIMPSONS (encores)

Will the people who won the “Ultimate Marathon” be still interested in this spot?

7:30-8:00 PM              THE CLEVELAND SHOW

Of all the shows, The Cleveland Show had at one point the most interesting, I guess you could call it “shift” with the introduction of Junior’s new wife Cecilia and her family who have moved across the street and bring with them a Latina flavor to a show that most desperately needed it. It will be interesting to see if the family will be a recurring deal or if it was just a one time thing. Hopefully, it will be the former, but fear it may be the latter due to the icky ratings the two episodes brought in.

8:00-8:30 PM              THE SIMPSONS

With all the talk about the 500th episode of The Simpsons, some might forget that their is quite a few more new episodes on the horizon featuring guest stars Lady Gaga and Bryan Cranston(who seems to be everywhere these days) I’m interested in seeing which episode gets the bigger ratings, the 500th or the season finale featuring Gaga…

8:30-9:00 PM              BOB’S BURGERS (Season Premiere)

Jon Benjamin’s voice can be heard currently in the hit FX show Archer, but when he’s not out fighting crime and banging everything with a hole in it, Jon voices another character named Bob Belcher who has a bit more down to Earth set up, with a full time gig running a fast food restaurant with his loving family the Belchers. I also want to look out for which show at this time slot gets the highest ratings that has had a revolving door with Allen, Napoleon, and now Bob, it will be interesting to see if FOX ever does find the spiritual successor to King of the Hill.

9:00-9:30 PM              FAMILY GUY

The most controversial television show probably in the history of network television, is here and even with the slight ratings dip last week is FOX’s biggest cash cow and is going as strong as ever. This season alone has produced more than its fair share of headlines, however if I had to give Seth MacFarlane some good friendly advice it would be this… If your shows make headlines, awesome…but we don’t need YOU making headlines with silly antics. Just play it cool and have fun and it’ll be a good time.

9:30-10:00 PM            AMERICAN DAD

It’s coming off its worse rated episode of the season, but I think American Dad has some great legs. They just did a spot with Hulk Hogan that friggin killed, but the secondary story lines featuring Klaus and Francine have sucked ass. Listen AD writers, either just make it about Roger, Stan, Steve or put better effort into the ancillary characters if you wanna stay around.
