HOW TO SECEDE WITHOUT REALLY TRYING

Evidently TV in the future is frickin’ awesome! And with that in mind Bender is overheard about helping the mayor out with his scandalous issues. His idea eventually sees them pretty much attach rockets to the city, and blast off hence successfully severing any contact with Earth. However, its not long before the citizens of New New York long for the days that Earth provides for it like food, TV reception, and most importantly beer!

Meanwhile, due to the rising cost of eggs at the local supermarket, Leela decides to steel eggs that belong to some local owls. Well, if you’ve ever played the game Angry Birds you more or less get a good picture of the birds’ reaction and as such pretty much destroy the office the big office everyone works in.

Overall, this was a fun issue, and certainly better than the last one. Nothing beats seeing Bender pretty much dressed up like Bullwinkle, and then pull of a mayor/baby rescue that would even appease the likes of Danny Devito’s take on the Penguin in Batman Returns. The Angry Birds gag was comical, however the idea that we may still have terrible reality shows sometime in the near future on air is frightening.
