Could we be getting an animated series based off of the Honey Badger Youtube video?

I’ll be honest, I don’t really spend a lot of time on Youtube scouring for random videos. I like Tosh.0 but rarely watch it so when something on Youtube becomes a big sensation, I have to wait until it becomes some sort of a newsworthy deal. I do remember last year everyone loving that “Double Rainbow” video, but this year might be worse already because here we have this “Honey Badger” video that is sweeping the nation, and yes soon might be an animated series.

Here’s the video in question, known as “The Crazy Nastyass Honey Badger”.

That’s right, this video is almost at 36 MILLION hits, and the guy who does the voice-over, named “Randall” is now doing a book tour, selling a bunch of merchandise, and probably making a killing off this. Oh yea, and according to TMZ:

“So, why go public now? Randall’s in Hollywood hocking his new book — yes, the Honey Badger can write too — and there’s even an animated TV show in the works. Guess he really is pretty badass”

Based on Randall’s voice over skills, and animated series definitely sounds pretty funny. But, it would HAVE to be like the Youtube video with foul language and stuff because that’s what makes it funny. As such, this show would probably be looked at by FX, Comedy Central, or MTV. I don’t know if Adult Swim would jump into something like this, simply because they try to stay away from licensed properties and prefer creating their own IPs. FX is delving into licensed stuff right now with the new Charlie Sheen show Anger Management based off of the movie with the same name, and MTV is probably the Obi-wan of licensed material having used to being a network that’s been showing music videos for 30 plus years. However, the best option would most surely be Comedy Central, as not only are they the masters of obscene adult animated programming, but they would have a great lead in opportunity coupled with Tosh.0 a program that all about making Youtube people famous, albeit sometimes for all the wrong reasons. Also, as previously mentioned Daniel Tosh is Exec-Producing an animated series called Brickleyberry, so he might be a great consultant for the “Honey Badger” show as well.

There’s a lot of options here for Randall, now if you’ll excuse me I’m going to go to my high school and punch my guidance counselor in the face for saying college was the only way I’ll get anywhere.
