Review: Wild Grinders “Cat Scratch Meaty” and “Wild BFF’s!”

Overview (Spoilers Below)

“Cat Scratch Meaty”

Just gonna start off by saying that I hate the fact that they spoofed a Ted Nugent song for the title. Leave the Nuge alone, Dyrdek!!!

The Dyrdek’s new neighbor just so happens to be the drill instructor of the obedience academy that Meaty used to go to. But Schultz isn’t into dogs anymore. He’s more of “top-secret cat stuff” kinda guy. Meaty is perplexed as to what could have caused such a change in Schultz, so he’s gonna get to the bottom of it. The only problem is that Schultz’s house has a strict “no dogs allowed” policy. So Meaty dresses up as a cat to figure it all out. Once inside he sees that Schultz is into the viral cat video game and he’s letting all of the cats into his house so he can film his newest video: Cat On A Skateboard. Apparently, cats are supposed to be better skaters than dogs, which sends Meaty into a rage that he can only fulfill by skating the best sesh of his life. Schultz totally loves it and picks Meaty as his next star.

As we all know, success comes with a price. Meaty draws the ire of the famous cats before him and gets kicked out of Schultz’s house. He lands near the Grinders, who are watching Meaty’s amazing videos. The cats are trying to destroy Meaty for good so he asks the Grinders to escort him to Schultz’s place so he can film one more cat video before he retires. The cats take on the role of assassins and take out all of the Grinders except for Lil Rob and Meaty. When Meaty shows up his disguise falls out and he is exposed as the fraud he is. Meaty is learning a lesson about jealousy when his sense of smell kicks in. He smells out the truth and reveals that all of the other cats are actually dogs in cat disguises.

“Wild BFF’s”

Stubford is a pretty lonely kid. He tries to play games with his dad is always too busy with work. Being the cunning businessman he is, Mr. Hucksterball comes up with a plan. He’s gonna get Stubford a little brother. Usually this takes some practice, a willing partner and at least a few years until the skull hardens fully but that would take way too much time for Mr. Hucksterball. He needs this sibling and he needs it now. So he approaches the Wild Grinders and chooses to adopt JackKnife. Surprisingly, JackKnife and Stubford hit it off, much to the chagrin of the Grinders. It all comes to a head when JackKnife quits the Grinders to create a skate crew with Stubford. The Grinders need to figure out a way to get JackKnife kicked out of Stubford’s house so they can get their friend back. The plan is to pretend that Mr. Hucksterball adopted them all. They wreck up the place and Mr. Hucksterball has no choice but to drop all of the kids off at Lil Rob’s house, and adopt Gene in the process.
