Review: RWBY Chibi “Girl’s Night Out”

A new girl.

Spoilers Below:

“Mercury’s Girl”

Mercury converses with a puppet of Cinder. He uses it to talk about how good he is, and how bad the rest of the other henchmen are. Little does he know that they’re right behind him, listening to everything that he’s saying. The Cinder-puppet says that she always liked Mercury and feels more womanly around him, but Cinder also enters the room. She burns the Cinder puppet and the rest of the team berates Mercury as they leave. However, Mercury has a backup Cinder puppet.

“Girl’s Night Out”

The girls are preparing for a girl’s night out. Jaune is excited to go along with them, but they insist that it’s a girl’s only event. They’re going to burn the town down. Jaune is upset, and retaliates that he and Ren are going to hang out instead. They end up spending the night looking at Jaune’s baby photos, much to Ren’s displeasure. Elsewhere, the girls end up actually burning the town down.

The skits were pretty straightforward this time around. The highlight of the episode is likely the part of the second skit, where it turns out their plans were very literal. That sort of gag is a lot more enjoyable, instead of another stupid Jaune joke. There seem to be way too many of those, especially this season.
