Spoilers Below

The QPC

Uncle Chuck and Aunt Rose want Penn to watch over their pet chinchilla, but Penn has to go fight bad guys first. Chuck, Rose, and their pet show up to the theater which leads to the chinchilla getting out and breaking the machine that gets Penn back. As a result, Rose and Chuck have to track down a QPC to fix the machine. Their trip leads them to the Fish Sticks restaurant, the school. and Larry’s house where a battle between the chinchilla and Larry’s elephant commences, which leads to the acquisition of the QPC and its return to the theater. At first, it’s installed incorrectly, but the chinchilla fixes it and Penn returns.

Our Take

In what could be the best episode of the season, we get a good one that really doesn’t feature Penn at all. As a matter of fact, I really think Disney XD should greenlight a series all about this chinchilla! He fights, he’s apparently a scientist, and he’s a mischievous little bastard. I’d love to see what he gets into when everyone is off watching Penn Zero do his thing.

Shirley B. Awesome

The kids end up in a world where they are action figures ala GI Joe and they gotta stop Larry and Rippen from stealing all of the neighborhood kids’ toys. They are lead by Shirley B. Awesome, and at first she shows some promise, but soon both girls are captured leading Penn and Boone to make the rescue. In one of the show’s more dramatic moments, Shirley sacrifices herself to save her new friends, but she makes it out ok.

Our Take

I love Wanda Sykes. Perhaps besides Gilbert Gottfried, she has the most recognizable voices in showbiz and has legendary stand-up creds. As mentioned in the recap, Shirley and Sashi created a bond that was rather entertaining to see come to pass, showing that this series has some tools on the belt that it hasn’t really used yet. The episode started off kind of slow, and really didn’t make a lot of sense in the beginning, but overall a great week of Penn.
